Reflector: An awesome tool for modeling

My fellow blogger posted about Reflector as a complimentary tool for the iPad. She used it to show students’ work and model activities such as writing.

This would have been a fantastic tool to use with my Prep class during modeled writing and rote learning. It is a great example of augmentation as it relates to the SAMR model.

I’m glad someone else has used Reflector. It is especially good for using in Special Education settings. Some of the students I work with in my role as an SLSO, use this app with their iPads and it allows others to readily see what they are trying to communicate. Sometimes it may be as simple as displaying a favoured image and then the student can share or talk about this image. Reflector is fantastic for students with severe speech and expressive language problems.

Wow! what a brilliant product this is! I could see this being very useful at our specialist school as we are 100% iPad use for all students and teachers. Majority of teacher aides also have them.
